Toddler Dies After Circumcision Procedure in Morocco, Family Seeks Answers

A young child died on Wednesday following his circumcision in a private clinic near Errachidia. The family filed a complaint and an investigation has been opened.
It is a two-year-old child transferred to the clinic to undergo a circumcision operation with correction of a congenital malformation, reports Al Omk Al Maghribi, citing local sources. But after the intervention, the little boy died under mysterious circumstances, add the same sources.
Devastated, the child’s family, from Erfoud, refused to receive his body, and filed a complaint with the public prosecutor’s office in order to understand all the circumstances of this "mysterious" death.
Informed, the competent public prosecutor’s office ordered that a medical autopsy be performed on the body of the deceased in order to determine the causes of death. The supervisory ministry has also dispatched a mission to the site in order to conduct a precise investigation on this file, and to identify a set of potential imbalances in this health establishment.
