Suspect Dies in Police Custody While En Route to Hospital in Benguerir, Morocco

The judicial police brigade of Benguerir has opened an investigation, following the death on Thursday of a man placed in custody. The man died on board the ambulance that was taking him to the hospital.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) explains that the suspect had been placed in custody in the context of a correctional case. But for reasons still unknown to the investigators, he lost consciousness. But he did not survive until the hospital.
His body was transferred to the morgue for an autopsy that will determine the cause of his death. An investigation has been opened and should provide the family with the causes of this death, especially to identify the reasons why he fainted in a police station.
