Privacy Breach in Morocco: COVID-19 Patient’s Flight Manifest Leaked Online

The list of 117 people who traveled with the first virus carrier in Morocco has ended up on social media. A blatant violation of the rights of these people, thinks the president of the national commission for the protection of personal data (CNDP).
Omar Seghrouchni is very upset about the leak of the passenger and crew list of flight TB7812. The president of the CNDP Commission promised to initiate "investigations in collaboration with the institutions concerned", he tweeted, before posting another tweet expressing his anger at the lack of "good reflexes" in terms of personal data protection.
The passengers and the crew of the flight, according to statements made on March 3, 2020 by Mohamed El Youbi, director of epidemiology and disease control at the Ministry of Health, were placed in mandatory isolation, under medical supervision.
