Polisario Prison Break: Detainees Escape Tindouf Camp Amid Eid Security Lapse

Several detainees attempted to escape on Monday from the Dhaibia prison in Tindouf. They took advantage of a certain relaxation of security on the eve of Eid al-Adha, when security is often entrusted to inexperienced guards.
Kazaz Lahbib, Aziz Ansari and several teenagers, one of whom is from the Laâyoune camp, escaped from the prison during the morning walk, attacking their inexperienced jailers, reports Alyaoum24.com.
Surprised by this escape, the armed elements of the Polisario, gendarmes positioned outside the prison, chased the fugitives, firing shots. While several of them were recaptured, three of them managed to slip through their fingers.
Since this attempted escape, the security alert is currently at its maximum at the Dhaibia prison. According to the same source, prisoners have been placed in isolation while the instigators of the escape have been placed in boxes or holes used by the Polisario during the 1980s and 1990s to torture Moroccans.
