Rif Protest Leaders Transferred to Tangier Prison as Authorities Address Detainee Demands

The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) grants, with a few details, one of the main demands of the Hirak prisoners of the Rif by starting to group them in the Tangier prison.
The Hirak detainees had requested to be reunited in the Salouane prison, to the point that some had observed a hunger strike. According to Alyaoum24, Mohamed Ahamjik indicated on Saturday that his brother Nabil and Nasser Zefzafi have been transferred to Tangier Prison 2, while Mohamed Haki, Zakaria Dahshour and Samir Aghid are still in the Guercif prison.
According to the same source, the transfer of Nasser Zefzafi was delayed due to the latter’s state of health. He is one of the prisoners who observed a 25-day hunger strike as a sign of protest. These detainees would be many to suffer from complications. Nasser Zefzafi’s case would even require "medical intervention", according to his family.
