Inmate Escapes Tangier Prison in Daring Rooftop Breakout, Manhunt Underway

An inmate, sentenced to 12 years in prison, managed to escape from the Tangier prison. He managed to deceive the vigilance of the guards, thanks to a Hollywood-style escape plan.
On the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2019, an inmate of the Set Village prison in Tangier managed to escape by breaking the bars of his cell and passing through the prison terrace.
It is a 27-year-old man who was serving a 12-year prison sentence for forming a criminal gang and being involved in serious offenses.
The incident caused maximum alert from the security services, namely the police and the Royal Gendarmerie, who issued a nationwide search warrant. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the escape.
