Manhunt Intensifies for Moroccan Escapee Who Scaled Frankfurt Prison Wall

The scene resembles a Hollywood movie sequence. A Moroccan prisoner in Frankfurt escaped from the local prison by climbing a 5.5-meter-high wall, in the middle of the day.
The 35-year-old Moroccan had taken advantage of the "walk" break to deceive the vigilance of the guards and to carry out his escape plan, by going beyond the prison enclosure, despite the barbed wire.
According to local media, about ten police officers, accompanied by dogs, have been trying to find the prisoner’s trail since Thursday, August 1, 2019. A special plane has been put into service in order to be able to track down the fugitive.
The authorities had to issue warnings to motorists roaming the surroundings, in order to prevent them from assisting the prisoner. The latter, enjoying a good reputation within the prison, had been incarcerated for theft and drug trafficking.
