Polisario Front Warns of War, Accuses Morocco of Military Escalation in Western Sahara

"Mr. Lahbib, a member of the Polisario, also the Sahrawi Minister" of Defense accuses Morocco of wanting to destabilize the Guerguerat region and threatens to violate the 1991 ceasefire agreement. The UN is also in his sights.
"Faced with the dangerous military escalation led by Morocco that threatens to forcibly open this illegal breach, the Polisario Front affirms that any overstepping by the Moroccan forces of the barriers of shame to the East, is synonymous with the return to war and the abrogation of the ceasefire agreement," declares the official in an interview with APS.
He made it known that the breach is permanently closed and that the demonstrators, despite the difficult conditions, are moving freely. "The closure of the illegal breach and the popular momentum constitute a reaction to the passivity of the Minurso regarding the organization of the self-determination referendum," supports the minister, accusing the UN mission of having sided with Morocco.
