Polisario Front Vows to Escalate Conflict with Morocco in Western Sahara

A senior Polisario official has stated that the "war will continue" in the Sahara.
"The war will continue and escalate. All positions of the Moroccan army are targets," said Sidi Ould Loukal, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of the "Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR)," to AFP.
On Saturday evening, the Polisario announced that it had launched four missiles towards the Guerguerat buffer zone, located near the border with Mauritania. According to Mr. Ould Loukal, the road crossing has been "closed" and the situation on the ground is "chaotic".
"This is just the beginning. It is a warning to users of this road and this land. The entire territory of Western Sahara is a war zone and is not safe," he warned, stressing that "neither Guerguerat nor any point of the Sahrawi territory is safe from the missiles and shells of the Sahrawi fighters."
