Polisario Front Threatens Military Action Against Morocco Over Guerguerat Zone

The "Sahrawi Popular Liberation Army" (APLS) plans to go to war against Morocco after the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) deployed a security cordon in the Guerguerat buffer zone on Friday to secure the flow of goods and people. A military operation that routed the Polisario militiamen.
"There is no more room for speeches, the homeland or death as a martyr to complete sovereignty," a APLS officer says in a video broadcast by several media outlets, including the Russian channel RT. This officer addressed operational units. For him, the moment of truth has arrived. The "Sahrawi" army "is ready to (execute) any decision taken by the Polisario Front and its leadership," he said, adding that the special unit is ready for combat and is on post.
On Saturday, the "Sahrawi" army issued a statement to announce the continuation of its intensive attacks on Moroccan military bases. "The units of the APLS continue their attacks on the different positions of the enemy located in the different regions of the Western Sahara, causing human and material losses to the forces of the Moroccan occupation and a state of confusion as to its military plans."
