Moroccan Forces Destroy Polisario Weapons in Guerguerat Buffer Zone

During the deployment of the security cordon in the buffer zone to secure the flow of goods and people, the Royal Armed Forces destroyed several Polisario weapons.
These weapons were stored in a Polisario vehicle east of the security barrier in the Mahbes region, reports Hespress. The FAR also claim to have fired shots without causing human or material damage to the ranks of the Moroccan army. These sustained gunfire are responses to the provocations of the Polisario militias.
Last Friday, on the instructions of King Mohammed VI, the FAR invested the buffer zone in order to clear the handful of militiamen who were blocking the circulation of vehicles of carriers. The FAR elements, much better trained, had no great difficulty in taking control of the situation, putting the militiamen to rout.
