Moroccan Forces Secure Guerguarate Border Zone Amid Polisario Tensions

Faced with Polisario provocations in Guerguarate, the Royal Armed Forces deployed a security cordon in the early hours of Friday in the buffer zone to secure the flow of goods and people. They managed to take control of the situation.
In a statement, the General Staff of the FAR specified that this operation is not offensive and without any belligerent intention. It was carried out in accordance with clear rules of engagement, which prescribe avoiding any contact with civilians. It does not involve the use of weapons, except in self-defense.
Despite the reminders to order from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the "Polisario" continues to multiply these dangerous actions in the buffer zone, in violation of the resolutions of the Security Council, in particular 2414 and 2440.
According to the latest news, the Polisario militiamen fled the El Guerguerate buffer zone following the intervention of the Royal Armed Forces.
