Morocco Builds 14km Security Wall Along Mauritania Border Near Guerguerat

On the instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) have erected a security wall along the border with Mauritania over a distance of 14km.
"This solid and impassable security wall has sealed and completely isolated [the area located] along the border with Mauritania, over a distance of 14 kilometers, which is fully secured, with Guerguerat and the buffer zone of Morocco with Mauritania," said a government source to Le360.
The construction of this wall is a decision emanating from the sovereign, supreme commander and chief of staff of the Royal Armed Forces. Henceforth, the flow of goods and people is secured. Morocco has thus put an end to the repeated provocations of the Polisario in Guerguerat.
