Police Officer Draws Weapon During Arrest of Violent Suspects in Sidi Bennour

Two young people, including a 16-year-old minor, forced a peace officer serving at the Mobile Unit of the Sidi Bennour Police Prefecture to draw his service weapon, without using it, during a security intervention.
It was to arrest two brothers in a state of high agitation, who were causing material damage and the destruction of private property, that a peace officer had to draw his weapon.
According to the MAP, the two suspects with multiple criminal records threatened pedestrians using bladed weapons and also broke the windshield of a parked car in the old Medina.
A statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specified that the accused persons showed violent resistance to the police, forcing the peace officer to draw his service weapon, thus allowing him to arrest the two suspects and seize the two large bladed weapons used in this assault.
Placed in custody, they will know their fate after the conclusions of the investigation conducted by the elements of the Judicial Police.
