Official complaint from Morocco: Why the FRMF contests the "unsportsmanlike" behavior of Senegal
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has decided to take action following the incidents that marked the final of the Africa Cup of Nations against Senegal. The national body has officially announced the use of legal procedures with CAF and FIFA to rule on the withdrawal of the Senegalese team from the field during the match, an act that weighed heavily on the atmosphere of the match.
The dispute arose after the referee whistled a penalty in favor of the Moroccan team, a decision that was unanimously considered correct by football experts. This sudden shutdown of the opposing selection had a significant impact on the normal course of the match as well as on the performance of the players. By seizing the international bodies, the Moroccan federation wishes to shed light on these events that have hindered the proper functioning of this continental final.
Alongside these steps, the FRMF has taken the opportunity to salute the fervor of the supporters who answered the call. It has expressed its sincere thanks to the Moroccan public for its massive presence and unconditional support throughout the matches of the national team and the other matches of the tournament.
