Ismael Saibari went to the Senegal hotel to apologize

This accessory caused tensions throughout the match, also being the object of covetousness on the part of the ball boys whose behavior was considered aggressive by the observers.

The Moroccan international finally decided to apologize in person to Édouard Mendy at the Senegalese national team’s hotel. A video shows the two players calmly discussing in front of the establishment before shaking hands.

For his part, Yehvann Diouf played down the importance of the incident during his passage in the mixed zone. The Senegalese goalkeeper explained that he was surprised by the attempts to seize the object, specifying that it was simply a cloth to dry the gloves or the face.
