Peugeot Plant in Morocco to Double Production Capacity Amid Regional Growth

The doubling of the production capacity of the Kénitra plant will be effective as of September, the PSA group has announced.
The site will be able to manufacture up to 200,000 vehicles in the Middle East/Africa region as of September 2020, reports L’Économiste. The PSA group is resisting and adapting to the global health crisis.
The 26.4% decline in the regional market has in no way had a negative impact on the manufacturer’s sales. The group’s global sales have increased compared to 2019. As for the regional market share, it has recorded an increase of 46%.
The strong increases in the PSA group’s market share achieved across the region are as follows: Turkey (+5.4), Egypt (+3.9) and Morocco (+0.8).
