Peugeot’s Kenitra Plant to Double Production to 200,000 Vehicles in 2020

The PSA Group’s vehicle production site in Kenitra plans to produce a total of 200,000 vehicles as early as 2020.
Samir Sherfan, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for PSA in the Middle East and Africa region, states that this plant currently produces a little over 100 Peugeot 208 per day, adding that it should quickly reach 300 vehicles per day in April 2020, reports l’Economiste.
To this end, the plant is working hard to finalize the expansion of the production capacity of the plant with the installation of the second phase next August. "This will allow us to produce 600 vehicles per day by the end of 2020, which corresponds to the 200,000 vehicles per year planned," assures Samir Sherfan.
The senior vice president did not fail to point out that "Morocco is a strategically commercial country but also at the heart of PSA’s performance in Africa and the Middle East".
Certain of this strategic position of the kingdom, Sherfan announces that it is in the top 5 of the region, which represents a little less than 80% of the potential sales in the region.
