Pelé Praises Morocco’s World Cup Run, Congratulates Argentina from Hospital Bed

From his hospital bed, Brazilian and world football legend Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as "Pelé", has sent his congratulations to the Atlas Lions who "shone" all of Africa in Qatar.
"I couldn’t fail to congratulate Morocco for the incredible run (at the World Cup). It’s great to see Africa shine," the three-time world champion wrote on his Instagram account.
Pelé also saluted Argentina for their triumph. "Congratulations to Argentina, I’m sure Diego (Maradona) is smiling now," he wrote, praising Messi’s career and Mbappé’s role within the French national team.
It should be recalled that the Brazilian, undergoing treatment for colon cancer, has been admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo since November 29, where he is recovering "satisfactorily" from a lung infection, according to the latest medical bulletin.
