Moroccan Football Federation Mourns Pelé, Soccer Legend Dies at 82

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation and its president Fouzi Lekjaa reacted following the death of Pelé. He was 82 years old.
The legend of Brazilian and world football, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, passed away on Thursday, plunging the entire world into sadness.
"The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, on behalf of all the members of the Executive Committee, expresses his deepest condolences and sincere feelings of compassion to the family of the late Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, the legend of Brazilian and world football, who died on Thursday, December 29, 2022," it reads.
Fouzi Lekjaa also expresses his condolences to the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) "imploring God to surround the deceased with His blessing and His Holy mercy and to grant patience and comfort to his loved ones." Suffering from colon cancer, Pelé had been admitted to the Albert-Einstein Hospital in São Paulo a month ago. As a tribute to the departed football legend, Brazil has begun a three-day national mourning.
