Paris-Tétouan: Royal Air Maroc opens a direct low-cost connection

To enhance the appeal of the "Moroccan Riviera", Royal Air Maroc is launching a direct connection between Paris and Tétouan. This new offering is part of a broader strategy aimed at attracting up to 30 million tourists.

During a promotional evening organized in Paris on March 24, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) officially launched this new route. Operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, this line offers one-way fares starting at 71 euros. The event was held in the presence of Samira Sitail, the Moroccan ambassador to France.

The objective of this campaign is to highlight the assets of Tétouan, affectionately nicknamed the "Moroccan Riviera". The director of the ONMT for France, Jihad Chakib, praised this little-known destination that combines seaside pleasures, golf courses and majestic hinterland. The region also relies on luxury hotels, with prestigious establishments in Tamuda Bay such as the Royal Mansour, the Sofitel or the St. Regis.

This Paris opening marks the beginning of a vast air offensive to open up the North. The national airline will now connect the city to several European metropolises (London-Gatwick, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga), while strengthening the internal Tétouan-Casablanca axis. This regional expansion policy is essential to reach the ambitious target of 25 to 30 million visitors set by the Kingdom.

To mark the occasion, the inaugural flight taking off this Wednesday will welcome nearly 150 members of the Tour Operating Companies Union (SETO). These travel professionals have also chosen Tétouan to hold their 16th Annual Forum until March 27. This gathering crowns a relationship of trust, as the French union recently awarded Morocco the very first prize for "Partner Destination of the Year 2025".
