Paris Kidnapping Foiled: Police Rescue Victim, Arrest 3 Suspects After Ransom Demand

From Morocco, a man reported the kidnapping and sequestration of one of his relatives in Paris (13th arrondissement). The police of Fontenay-sous-Bois not only found the victim, but also managed to apprehend three suspected kidnappers.
After receiving images or a video of the young man in poor condition, one of his relatives alerted the departmental judicial police service (SDPJ). He was kidnapped in Paris and the kidnappers were demanding a ransom of 19,000 euros from the victim’s relatives. The police of Fontenay-sous-Bois conducted investigations that proved fruitful. A study of the telephone records allowed them to locate a mobile phone in the Auchan underground parking lot in Fontenay-sous-Bois. On Friday, they found the victim in a car in Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val-de-Marne) and took him to the hospital, reports Le Parisien. According to a police source, his body was lacerated, but his life is not in danger.
In the wake of this, a crew from the city’s anti-crime brigade managed to arrest three individuals suspected of being the kidnappers. Originally from Montpellier, the latter are said to have gone to the Paris region to recover a casino debt of 800 euros.
