Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Morocco’s Territorial Integrity in Western Sahara Dispute

Hamid Asghar Khan, the new Ambassador of Pakistan to Morocco, faced the press on Thursday, September 12, 2019. He then reaffirmed his country’s support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
After many African, Asian and European countries, it is now Pakistan’s turn to reaffirm its support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco. Hamid Asghar Khan, the current Ambassador of Pakistan to Morocco, is the bearer of this message of support.
"Based on the existing friendly relations between Pakistan and Morocco, Pakistan’s position on the Sahara issue is clear and unambiguous: [...] we support the territorial integrity of Morocco," said the diplomat.
According to him, the autonomy plan presented by Morocco has made a good impression on Pakistan, which describes it as "very positive". For Hamid Asghar Khan, this realistic plan, together with the relevant UN resolutions, is a roadmap for the settlement of this artificial conflict.
