Outrage in Morocco as Secret Wedding Video Flouts COVID-19 Restrictions

While Morocco continues to record cases of Covid-19 contamination, a wedding was secretly celebrated without respecting the preventive measures decreed by the Moroccan authorities. The publication of the wedding video on Instagram has aroused the indignation of Internet users.
In this video, we see a couple getting married in the presence of several guests. It was a major event. The preventive measures decreed by the health authorities to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom were trampled underfoot. "Go corona, go corona...", the guests sang in chorus in a group.
Yet the Ministry of Health has constantly called on Moroccans to respect the preventive measures, especially at a time when the number of cases of contamination continues to increase. Moreover, the non-compliance with the measures has led the Ministries of the Interior and Health to prohibit travel to and from eight cities: Tangier, Tetouan, Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, Berrechid, Settat and Marrakech.
As of Tuesday, July 28, 2020, the official report shows 21,387 cases of contamination, 17,066 recoveries and 327 deaths.
