Berrechid Tightens COVID-19 Restrictions as New Outbreaks Emerge

The local authorities of Berrechid are showing the greatest firmness regarding compliance with the health measures and precautions enacted to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom. They have thus strengthened the controls.
The epidemiological situation has become worrying in Berrechid where new outbreaks of contamination have been detected in certain industrial units. Realizing the situation, the local authorities have installed police checkpoints at the entrances of the city to check if motorists have an exceptional travel authorization, reports Le 360.
In this context of the celebration of Eid al-Adha, the agents and auxiliary authorities have multiplied patrols in the sheep markets, the main commercial streets, the flea markets and the bric-a-brac. The offender is first reminded to order. In case of repeat offender, he will be apprehended and will undergo the rigor of the law.
For their part, the local branch of the Moroccan Red Crescent (CRM) and NGOs are conducting awareness campaigns on strict compliance with preventive measures.
