Outgoing Moroccan Industry Minister Sheds Tears at Cabinet Handover Ceremony
The outgoing minister, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, broke down in tears on Friday during the handover ceremony between him and the new ministers in charge of Industry and Trade, Economic Inclusion, Energy Transition, Digital and Administrative Reform.

They are Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and finally Ghita Mezzour, Delegate Minister to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
According to the outgoing minister, the sovereign has appointed "a very high-level government, with a homogeneous majority and ministers of very high caliber". "We are counting a lot on this young team to move forward in their departments and continue this good momentum of the ministry," said a very emotional MHE to the four new ministers.
