Morocco to Begin Exporting Protective Masks as Daily Production Surges

Morocco will soon export protective masks. This is what the Minister of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy announced last Thursday, before the House of Representatives.
Last Thursday, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, was before the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, to explain the protective mask production operation. On this occasion, he stated that Morocco will soon export protective masks.
According to the minister, the 17 mask manufacturing companies are now able to produce 6.2 million units per day. Added to this is the availability of new inputs; which could bring daily production to 8 million protective masks. The minister said that it has been decided to strengthen the stock of protective masks in pharmacies.
Faced with the overproduction of protective masks experienced by Morocco, the Minister of Industry and Trade stated that the kingdom will soon engage in the export of masks, to clear the surplus production.
