Oujda-Barcelona Flight Diverted After Passenger Smokes Cannabis Onboard
A Ryanair flight from Oujda to Barcelona was diverted to Alicante on Saturday evening after a passenger lit a hashish joint in the cabin. The incident triggered an altercation, forcing the captain to make an emergency landing.
The plane left Oujda Angad Airport at 18h21, according to a traveler quoted by Rue20. About fifteen minutes after takeoff, a young Moroccan national lit a hashish joint inside the aircraft, ignoring repeated warnings from the crew and jeopardizing passenger safety.

The passenger’s behavior quickly sparked a violent altercation with crew members and other travelers. As tensions escalated mid-flight, the captain decided to interrupt the journey and make an emergency landing at Alicante Airport, in Spain.
Upon landing, Spanish police officers immediately boarded the aircraft to apprehend the young man and question him. Their intervention brought the disturbance in the cabin to an end before the aircraft was cleared to resume its journey.
