Medical Emergency Forces Royal Air Maroc Flight to Divert to Barcelona

A Royal Air Maroc aircraft had to interrupt its flight and make an emergency landing at Barcelona-El Prat airport on Monday, September 23.
The reason for this unexpected incident: the health of a passenger on board suddenly deteriorated, requiring rapid medical intervention, according to several witnesses.
The aircraft, coming from Tunis and bound for Casablanca, was close to Spanish airspace when the crew decided to land. Once on the ground, the emergency services were able to take care of the ailing passenger.
After this interruption, the plane was able to take off again and resume its journey to its final destination, Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.
Since the Algerian authorities have banned Moroccan aircraft from overflying their territory, Royal Air Maroc and other airlines are forced to bypass the entire Algerian airspace to reach Morocco.
