Osasuna’s Loan Star Ezzalzouli Set for Copa del Rey Final Showdown with Real Madrid

FC Barcelona was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday against Real Madrid (0-4). But thanks to Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, their Moroccan player on loan to Osasuna, the blaugranas will be represented in a way in the final that will be played on May 6 in La Cartuja de Seville.
On loan without a purchase option to Osasuna until the end of the season, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, a key player for Osasuna, will likely be started by Jagoba Arrasate for the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid. An important match for the Navarrese club, which will try to win its first major title. If Barça had qualified for the final, the Moroccan player would not have been able to be fielded due to the "fear clause" provided for in his loan contract, unless Osasuna paid a financial compensation "between 250,000 and 300,000 euros", reports Mundo Deportivo.
This match has a double interest for Abde Ezzalzouli, who has gained in performance this season at Osasuna and will give his best to help his team win this first major title in its history. It will also be an opportunity for the Moroccan striker to show the coach and the Barça management that he is ready to return to the Camp Nou to realize his dream of joining Barça’s first team.
Ezzalzouli was one of the architects of Osasuna’s arrival in the final, after scoring the winning goal against Sevilla in the quarter-finals and scoring a decisive goal in the first leg of the semi-final against Athletic Bilbao. For this Copa del Rey final, Real Madrid is the favorite, but the Moroccan player is doubly motivated to play the match of his life.
