Moroccan Star Ezzalzouli Cleared for Copa del Rey Final After One-Match Ban

Abdessamad Ezzalzouli will indeed be present for the final of the Copa del Rey against Real Madrid on May 6. The Moroccan received a rather light sanction for the red card he received during the match against Cadiz on April 20.
The Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has indeed decided to suspend him for only one match. A verdict that has relieved the supporters of Osasuna and delighted the coach Jagoba Arrasate, for whom Abdessamad Ezzalzouli is a key element of the team.
The wording of the referee Carlos del Cerro Grande’s report, however, suggested that a heavier penalty could be imposed on the player, who kicked an opponent, causing him to fall, while the ball was in play but not disputed between the two players.
The Moroccan is therefore lucky to have been suspended for only one match, which he will serve this Friday during the match against Real Sociedad at El Sadar. Good news for the Osasuna team, which will therefore be able to count on its star player for this historic Copa del Rey final.
