Oracle to Open First African R&D Center in Morocco’s Tech Hub
The company Oracle, specialized in computer database management systems, will set up a research and development center in Morocco, its first in Africa.
The announcement was made during an interview between Aziz Akhannouch and Safra Catz, CEO of Oracle Corporation, visiting Morocco, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Named "Oracle Lab", this Oracle Corporation research and development unit will be located within the Casanearshore Park in Casablanca, the note specifies.
For the Prime Minister, Morocco constitutes a favorable ecosystem for innovation and Research & Development, as the country enjoys a good reputation for economic, democratic and social fundamentals.
