Olympic Champion El Bakkali Aims for Diamond League Glory in Paris
Invigorated by his victory at the Tokyo Olympics, Soufiane El Bakkali wants to remain the master of the 3,000m steeplechase. He plans to win the Diamond League in Paris.
Soufiane El Bakkali wants to take advantage of the good momentum to collect medals. And he starts with a competition in which he has already participated four times without ever winning a medal. The Olympic champion will go after the Tokyo Olympics to Paris on August 28 and then to Zurich on September 8, for the other stage of the Diamond League.
Proud to have received the congratulations of King Mohammed VI who saluted his performance, El Bakkali reiterated his commitment to his country and expressed his great joy after winning the gold medal, long awaited by the Moroccan public.
Aware of the responsibilities on his shoulders, the native of Fez has promised to maintain this supremacy in the 3,000m steeplechase. In his words of thanks, he did not forget the Moroccan public who have been with him in all his battles.
