Obama Praises Moroccan Climate Activist, Highlights Youth Leadership in Global Fight
Former US President Barack Obama recognized the dynamism and commitment of the young Moroccan Rachid Ennassiri, congratulating him in his fight against climate change.
"I am always inspired by young leaders like Rachid Ennassiri, who is helping more people in Morocco get involved in the fight against climate change," the former US president wrote on his Twitter account, inviting people to "join the Obama Foundation on Tuesday to support the work of change agents like Rachid".
Rachid Ennassiri is the founder and secretary general of the Moroccan Youth Center for Sustainable Energy and the leader of the Africa program within the Obama Foundation, chaired by the former US president.
Rachid Ennassiri is also responsible for climate change policy at the Foreign Office and the executive department of the British government.
