Moroccan Parliament Speaker Defends PM Amid Social Media Backlash Over Fuel Prices

Rachid Talbi Alami, President of the House of Representatives and member of the political bureau of the RNI, reacted to the massive campaign carried out on social networks, against the head of government Aziz Akhannouch.
#Dégage_Akhannouch, #7dh_gasoil and #8dh. For a few weeks, these hashtags have become viral on social networks. Many Moroccan Internet users are calling for the resignation of the head of government. Criticized, Aziz Akhannouch can however count on the support of Rachid Talbi Alami, president of the House of Representatives and member of the political bureau of the RNI.
During a party meeting held the day after their exploits in the by-elections (maintaining the parliamentary seats of Meknes and Al-Hoceima), he defended him. "They are sick and may God heal them," Rachid Talbi Alami said. Insufficient to dampen the ardor of Internet users. The #Dégage_Akhannouch campaign continues unabated.
