Notorious Belgian Fugitive Arrested in Spain After Violent Kidnapping Attempt

Nordin Benallal, a Belgian of Moroccan origin, is one of the three individuals arrested last Friday for their alleged involvement in an attempted kidnapping and a shootout in the Benitez district of the Spanish enclave of Ceuta.
On Friday, two Belgians and a Frenchman were arrested following an attempted kidnapping and a shootout. The repeat offender Nordin Benallal is one of these men, reports RTL INFO. The events took place on Friday night in Playa Benitez in Ceuta. According to witnesses, men got out of a BMW that was speeding in the Benitez district after the car had stopped. They tried to force a man into their car before opening fire.
Alerted, the police went to the scene. On their arrival, the victim was found locked in the trunk of the kidnappers’ car. They tried to flee. Two got into a police van. Three others headed for the bushes. Thanks to the thermal cameras, they were located and arrested. They are two Belgians and a Frenchman. The Guardia Civil failed to arrest the other two.
The method used by the criminal organization to which these kidnappers belong does not differ from the one used in Belgium. As testified by a former victim: "They got ’burned’ in Belgium, so they decided to act where no one knows them and where drug trafficking is very active. In Spain, there was no ongoing investigation against them."
