Belgian Prison Helicopter Escapee Extradited to Spain from Ceuta

Europe’s most wanted Moroccan has been extradited to Spain. He had escaped from a prison in Belgium aboard a helicopter.
Noureddine Ben Allal is now incarcerated in a highly secure Spanish prison. His extradition followed information received by the Spanish intelligence services indicating that an escape plan was being prepared, reports Assabah. The same plan that had allowed him to escape from a prison in Belgium aboard a stolen helicopter. The aircraft had landed in the courtyard of the Brussels prison.
The Belgian police had issued an international arrest warrant that led to the arrest of Ben Allal in Ceuta. Since then, he has been under enhanced surveillance. The "champion of escapes" has a full criminal record, with several escapes between 2007 and 2014 to his credit.
