Dangerous Belgian Fugitive Extradited to Spain After Arrest in Ceuta

Less than a week after his arrest in Ceuta, a Belgian of Moroccan origin was transferred this Monday morning by the police to Spain. Nordin Benallal is described as a very dangerous prisoner.
Under an international arrest warrant issued by the Belgian police, Nordin Benallal is known to have escaped from a prison in Belgium with the help of a helicopter. He had also managed other escapes from various prisons across Europe.
The judge at the Sebta court had ordered the detention of the defendant on August 24, as well as two other individuals, a Belgian and a Moroccan national.
The events took place at Playa Benitez in Ceuta. According to witnesses, men got out of a BMW car driving at high speed in the Benitez neighborhood. They tried to force a man into their car before opening fire.
Upon the arrival of the police, the victim was found locked in the trunk of the kidnappers’ car. They tried to flee. Two got into a police van. Three others headed towards the bushes. Thanks to thermal cameras, they were located and apprehended. The Guardia Civil believes that other people were with the group that evening. They are searching for them.
It should be noted that the victim is still at the Ceuta University Hospital, where he had been admitted with multiple injuries, some of them very serious. The relationship he had with his attackers is unknown.
