Moroccan Man Arrested in Spain for Wife’s Murder, Children Discover Body

Just a few hours after the discovery of the body of a woman of Moroccan origin at her home, the main suspect, who is none other than her husband, was arrested by the police.
This macabre discovery was made by the couple’s two children, aged 14 and 10, reports the Spanish press. The police’s suspicions immediately targeted her partner, who had just been released from prison a few months earlier.
The two children were at the beach in the afternoon and when they returned home, they found their mother on the ground, victim of several knife wounds. The 14-year-old child then alerted the police, who were a few minutes away from the house, the agents making the rounds of the neighborhood to enforce the quarantine of people infected with the coronavirus.
After the attack, the Moroccan fled in his vehicle, before getting out and taking another car, according to eyewitnesses.
To try to find him, the police set up several roadblocks, which allowed them to locate him around 2:30 a.m. while he was with friends. Transferred to the police station, he was placed in custody pending his appearance before the judge.
Update: on the day of the tragedy, the victim’s husband had called the restaurant where she worked to inform them that she could not come to work because "she was sick".
