Moroccan Driver Caught Speeding at 153 mph on Spanish Highway During Peak Travel Season

This is a first for the Spanish Civil Guard, which has just arrested a Moroccan residing in France at the wheel of his car. Hold on tight, the latter was driving at 246 km/h on the AP7, a very busy highway for Moroccans residing abroad traveling to Morocco.
The arrest was carried out by the Mossos d’Esquadra in Cambrils, in the north of the country, reports the local press. For the local media, it is madness to drive at this speed, especially during the summer vacation period and the high density of cars in both directions.
The agents were alerted by a patrol that was on site and which, that evening, had placed a mobile speed control radar.
The 25-year-old man was arrested and his vehicle confiscated. In addition to a hefty fine, he will soon have to appear before the court to answer for his actions.
It should be noted that the same evening, several other offenses were recorded, mainly related to the speed of the drivers. A motorist was arrested while driving at 214 km/h and another at 200 km/h!
For the record, the maximum speed limit on Spanish highways is 120 km per hour. To try to reduce the number of accidents on the roads, the speed had been lowered a few years ago (from 130 to 120).
