The Aïn Johra industrial zone will have direct access to the highway network. Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) is preparing to build a new interchange on the Rabat–Fez highway, with a specific aim: to improve access to this industrial hub in Khémisset province, in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.

To build the interchange, ADM launched a tender on September 25, estimated at 97,489,890 dirhams including tax. The contract, listed under reference 81/26/S, covers earthworks, road construction, structures and drainage facilities. According to the official public procurement portal, interested companies have until November 5 to submit their bids.

The project has reached a new administrative milestone. On Thursday, October 15, ADM published a second tender, this one for construction of the metal canopy at the future toll station. The contract, listed under reference 97/26/S, represents an estimated investment of 5.499 million dirhams. The deadline for receiving bids is November 11, according to the new tender notice.

Other work is also planned around the future interchange. ADM has launched a consultation to supply electricity to the toll station and relocate medium- and low-voltage power lines that interfere with the project. The estimated cost is 576,026 dirhams, with bids due by October 28, according to ADM documents.

Another contract covers laboratory testing to verify the quality of the work. Bids must be submitted before November 4. The combined estimates for the two main construction contracts now exceed 102.9 million dirhams. The tender processes are still underway, and no opening date has been announced.
