Morocco Opens Bids for Major Rabat-Casablanca Highway Expansion

The National Motorway Company of Morocco (ADM) is active in carrying out the construction work on the Rabat-Casablanca Continental highway.
During a public session, the National Motorway Company of Morocco opened, on November 28, the bids for the open tender for the construction of the Rabat Casablanca Continental highway. The contract is divided into six lots. The first lot concerns the Casablanca-Oued Lmaleh bypass; the second lot, Oued Lmaleh-Oued Nfifikh; the third lot, Oued Nfifikh-Oued Elghbar; the fourth lot, Oued Elghbar-Oued Charrate; the fifth lot 5, Oued Charrate-Oued Yquem; and finally the sixth lot 6, Oued Yquem-RP 4022.
The provisional deposit is set at 4 million dirhams (4,000,000.00 DH) for lot 1; 7 million dirhams (7,000,000.00 DH) for lot 2; 6 million dirhams (6,000,000.00 DH) for lot 3; 8 million dirhams (8,000,000.00 DH) for lot 4; six million five hundred thousand dirhams (6,500,000.00 DH) for lot 5 and finally two million dirhams (2,000,000.00 DH) for lot 6, specifies the same source.
Autoroute du Maroc invites competitors to consult and download free of charge, and only from its portal, the tender and competition files as well as the related additional documents and information. The content and presentation of the competitors’ files must comply with the provisions of the tender regulations, the press release specifies.
60 kilometers long, the Rabat-Casablanca continental highway will directly connect the Rabat bypass, from the Tamesna interchange, to the new southern bypass of Casablanca (Tit Mellil). It is one of the projects being implemented as part of Morocco’s preparations for the 2030 World Cup. Its budget is estimated at 9 billion Dh.
