Morocco Launches $60 Million Tender for Key Viaducts on Rabat-Casablanca Highway Project

The project for the new continental highway connecting Rabat to Casablanca takes a decisive new step. The company Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) has just relaunched a major call for tenders for the construction of two strategic viaducts, for a total estimated cost of over 600 million dirhams.
In detail, this call for tenders concerns the construction of a viaduct over Oued Cherrat, with a projected budget set at over 364.7 million dirhams, as well as a second structure over Oued Ykem, estimated at over 236.5 million dirhams. Companies interested in these two substantial contracts have until July 8 to submit their proposals, the date on which the bids will be opened.
This announcement is part of a large-scale project whose work is about to begin. As a reminder, at the beginning of May, five of the nine lots of this future highway had already been entrusted to Moroccan companies. Three other lots had been awarded to consortiums combining Moroccan and Chinese companies, demonstrating the progress of the process.
The overall budget for this new infrastructure amounts to 6.5 billion dirhams. According to forecasts, Moroccan companies should capture a very significant share of the project, estimated at 75% of the total amount.
