Morocco Launches $60 Million Road Project for New National Stadium

The National Motorway Company of Morocco (ADM) has launched a consultation for the realization of the road access to the Grand Stadium Hassan II of Benslimane. The cost of the contract is estimated at 605 million dirhams.
Divided into four lots, this contract covers road works and engineering structures. In early July 2024, the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council examined a convention concerning the road axes serving the Grand Stadium Hassan II for an amount of 5.1 billion dirhams. Road infrastructures aimed at improving access to the stadium are also planned as part of this convention. Their financing will be provided by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (2.2 billion dirhams), the Ministry of Equipment and Water (1.9 billion dirhams) and the Casablanca-Settat region (500 million dirhams).
Regarding the work launched on site in Benslimane, on the initiative of the National Agency for Public Facilities (ANEP), it is progressing rapidly. The earthworks of the stadium under the responsibility of the Société Générale des Travaux du Maroc (SGTM) are now completed. In total, 356 million dirhams have been mobilized for this realization.
Under construction on an area of more than 100 hectares in Mansouria, in the commune of Benslimane, about 38 kilometers from Casablanca, the Grand Stadium Hassan II would be delivered in 2027, Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), had reaffirmed during his visit to the Mohammed V Sports Complex on February 6. This jewel should host the 2030 World Cup final that Morocco will co-organize with Spain and Portugal.
