Napoli Eyes West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd as Kim Min-jae Replacement
Naples is interested in Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd, who plays as a central defender at West Ham in the English Premier League. Can the Italian champion convince the English club?
Naples, Nayef Aguerd’s next destination? The Italian club is looking for a replacement for South Korean international Kim Min-jae who signed with Bayern Munich and wants to acquire the services of the Atlas Lion, reports Corriere dello Sport. But the amount (35 million euros) that West Ham is demanding for the transfer of its central defender who joined its squad in July 2022 as part of a 30 million pound contract (around 35 million euros) for a period of five years could be an obstacle for the Italian champion.
Even if he has less playing time due to his injuries, Nayef Aguerd has played an important role within his club. He has since saved West Ham from relegation by scoring the only goal of the match against Southampton on April 2, 2023. If he can avoid injuries for the majority of the upcoming matches, he could reach a new level in the years to come.
