Muslim Woman Sexually Assaulted in Paris Suburb; Police Shoot Suspect After Taser Fails

A veiled woman was the victim of a sexual assault on Sunday, March 1, 2020, on the Allée de la Plaine in L’Haÿ-les-Roses. The police of Kremlin-Bicêtre quickly intervened to subdue the alleged aggressor.
According to the facts, the police officers had to use their firearm to neutralize the alleged aggressor. He would have tried to take on one of the police officers, despite two initial electric pulse pistol (PIE) shots, reports Le Parisien.
He will be hit by a bullet in the stomach. He gets up and tries to flee. "The colleagues used the electric pulse pistol twice but the guy got up again," says a police source. The police finally arrested him, in an apartment building, in Chevilly-Larue, rue de Picardie after a chase. And this, with the help of a PIE.
What next? The emergency services took care of the alleged aggressor. The victim, on the other hand, would be slightly injured, at the level of the hand, it is specified. Another source will add that the individual would have tried to lure the veiled woman into a cellar. "Apparently they didn’t know each other. But it’s still too early to be categorical," the source concludes.
