Melilla Cemetery Worker Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault on Stranded Moroccan Woman

The national police have arrested a man for alleged sexual assault on one of the women housed in the Muslim cemetery of Melilla. The arrest follows a complaint from the victim and investigations by the police.
The accused is alleged to be the perpetrator of a sexual assault on one of the women housed in the temporary reception center set up in the units of the Muslim cemetery of Melilla. This center was hosting the people blocked in the autonomous city, due to the closure of the Moroccan border since March 13, reports Europa Press. The arrested individual is of Spanish nationality and works in the cemetery. He is also a member of the staff of the city of Melilla.
The government delegation indicates that the alleged aggressor was arrested by the national police elements around 00:30. An arrest that occurred after a complaint filed by the woman who claims to be the victim of sexual assault by the individual. The facts date back to last Monday, around 9:30 p.m. in the Muslim cemetery of Melilla. The spokesman of the national police reveals that it is the judicial police unit of the civil guard that conducted the investigations leading to the arrest of the accused.
