Muslim Miss England Contestant Makes Waves with Modest Swimwear Choice

The beauty pageant for the designation of the most beautiful girl in England, "Miss England", was the scene of an unusual event. Indeed, the spectators were surprised to see the candidate Aysha Khan, a 21-year-old Muslim, opt for a surfing outfit, at the swimsuit parade stage, in order not to reveal too much of her body.
In total, there were 49 participants in this 2019 edition of the "Miss England" beauty pageant. Out of the whole group, Aysha Khan is the only girl to have chosen this outfit, which will have surprised more than one.
However, since this specific stage of the competition was optional, the impact of her gesture is only symbolic.
For her part, the candidate in question advanced, to explain her approach, that her well-being came before the result of the competition. "I really don’t reveal too much skin, because that’s what makes me feel comfortable," said Aysha Khan. And to add: "Some women may feel more confident by displaying their skin, but others feel more reassured by showing less."
