Gueye Tara Crowned Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2019 in Glamorous Abidjan Ceremony

The annual "Miss Côte d’Ivoire" challenge reached its climax on Saturday, June 1st at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. After an evening of cultural events pitting her against 26 other candidates, it was Gueye Tara who was crowned Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2019, succeeding Suy Fatim.
The Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire was packed for this final of "Miss Côte d’Ivoire" which lined up 27 young women, all as beautiful as the others. Already elected "Miss of the Bélier region" on Saturday, March 23 at the Alabo hall of the Président hotel in Yamoussoukro, Tara had no doubt about her ability to win the trophy at this grand national final.
22 years old for 1.78m and with a black complexion, the one who will embody Ivorian beauty for a year, which she has also committed to promote wherever needed, comes straight from Fez, Morocco, where she is studying for a bachelor’s degree in economics at the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University.
She wins many prizes, including among others, a superb 4x4 vehicle, the sum of three million from the Ivorian First Lady Dominique Ouattara, represented at the evening by the Minister of Family, Women and Children, Bakayoko Ly Ramata, not to mention several other prizes from the sponsors.
As an essential mission, Gueye Tara, who has benefited from widespread support on social networks, intends to devote herself to the social reintegration of autistic children. To make up the winning trio, two runners-up were elected following the "Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2019" and are named Irié Satya (1st), Koné Leila (2nd) and Larry Calixte (3rd).
