The new radio station, Azawan, from the Hit Radio group, is continuing its deployment on 41 FM frequencies with a view to covering 100% of the southern basins in 2020.
The Azawan radio station, now heard in Agadir, Laâyoune and Dakhla, positions itself as a radio open to the cultures and influences of southern Morocco, according to a press release from the radio station. Broadcast in Amazigh, Hassani and Darija, it is continuing its deployment on 41 FM frequencies in order to cover, in 2020, 100% of the southern basins, i.e. a potential audience of 3 million listeners, the same press release specifies.
This new radio station is also available in digital audio and can be received nationally as well as internationally via the mobile application. According to the same press release, the new station devotes the majority of its programs to the enhancement of regional music, Hassani, Amazigh, world and fusion rhythms... whose identity is summed up in its claim "Moussi9a bel alwan" (music in colors). An artist is honored daily on the radio and on the affiliated social networks, it is indicated.
As for the programs, they will be enriched with interactive shows combining information and entertainment, it is specified. For now, "Mawahib Azawan", in search of new Moroccan talents from the Souss-Massa basins, "Caravane Azawan", dedicated to Amazigh, Hassani and sub-Saharan cultures (languages, traditions and commitments), and "Allo Azawan" which will open the airwaves to listeners’ messages, are among the programs already available for the pleasure of listeners.
